It was the worst of times.
A cold snowy winter had entrapped the residents of Slater Creek Farm. While Lou played with the fish in the aquarium inside his master's house. Foursocks waited patiently for any morsel from his master's wife. Now many of you might think that this is unfair to the older cat. After all, Foursocks had been their kitten in Carthage. Their little girl had fed him every morning. He was even trapped and moved to live with them when they lived in the house of the grumpy farmer. Even though he lived in the cold, dark machine shed; with just a house of straw for warmth, he still had the redhead girl and her mother. One day they moved away again and didn't move him. They still showed up every so often to pet him. They also fed and watered him regularly. But, alas, he did not see them as often. Until one day he decided to find them. Not only did he find them, he decided to make their home his new home and now lives in the new red machine shed and sees his master's family every day.
Their will be those of you who still think this story is unfair. After all, Lou is just a kitten, and lives in warmth and luxury. But I have a secret to share. Foursocks is happy with his family and is getting busy with the beautiful white and gray female who now shares the machine shed with him. It seems Slater Creek Farm may be in the farm-cat business this Spring.

I swear it looks like Lou throw Foursocks a gold fish...you better go count.
Can't believe he found you. That is so cool. Now hurry up and get him fixed. He can still be a good mouser when he's fixed.
Both of them are so cute.
Jeff embellishes a bit, imagine that. Foursocks has been our kitty for years...he was a kitten born in our garage when Brandon was about 4 or 5 years old. We crated him and moved him to mom and dad's machine shed when we moved to their house. Which is only 1/2 mile away from our new home.
Foursocks did 'find' us...but it wasn't much of a stretch to do so. He is a wonderful, loving tomcat who loves to be loved. He'll take a petting as long as you want to stand out in the cold to do so. He does have a girlfriend (who is a beautiful kitty too...mostly white with some gray tiger striped patches)...they will make beautiful babies and then our machine shed will be mouse free for sure! ;-)

Cute story and ADORABLE cats...if you end up with little kitties, I just may be a sucker and take one. I often think of getting kitty #2.
I know your grandaughter asks for her own kitty every single day....hint hint
